St. Agnes Cathedral

St. Agnes Cathedral, constructed in 1935 is the seat of the Diocese of Long Island. Significant deterioration was revealed during field evaluation of this gothic styled structure which led to a major façade restoration project including the restoration of the cathedral’s copper dome roof.

Condition Survey

Jones Beach Tower Restoration Project

Selected for their masonry expertise and experience, Engineered Building Services, P.C. performed a survey of the existing tower’s masonry conditions. Inspections required telescopic scaffold lift equipment as well as high power telephoto photography to access all elevations.

The landmark JONES BEACH TOWER located on Long Island’s south shore recently underwent a comprehensive evaluation and is in the process of being restored. Archstone Apartments

Located in Westbury, Long Island, the residential apartment complex incurred serious structural deterioration due to water infiltration and mold proliferation. The buildings were vacated so that a complete facade restoration could be performed to remedy the defects. Engineered Building Inspections, P.C. was retained as the resident waterproofing and engineering expert.

Sunnyside Garden Apartments

When Engineered Building Inspections, P.C. [EBI] was called to Phipps Properties in Sunnyside, they were faced with the familiar task of investigating water intrusion leaks. Like so many times before, the circumstances were similar; the building had a history of leaks in various apartments. And like this professional engineering company had seen countless times before, the building was marred by numerous unsuccessful attempts to rectify the water problems.

Waterproofing

High Rise Waterproofing in NYC

Located in Kips Bay on Manhattans East side, the high rise building experienced facade moisture intrusion conditions that necessitated the replacement of all 32 stories of the brick facade. Mast-climber scaffold platforms were utilized during construction to replace the brick facade system including new steel shelf angles, flashing systems, rigid insulation system, windows and AC sleeves.

Structural Restoration and Waterproofing

Great Neck Parking Garage

The engineers at EBI brought their extensive experience to resolving structural issues and properly waterproofing a 100,000 square foot parking garage in Great Neck New York.

Work included replacing structural beams and columns at select locations and pouring a new structural concrete deck.  The expansion joints were designed for replacement and the entire deck was waterproofed and paved with asphalt.

The EBI staff is particularly experienced with garage and plaza deck structural and waterproofing analysis and design.

The Wyndham in Garden City

The Wyndham at Garden City is an upscale luxury condominium complex located in the heart of Garden City, New York. Unfortunately, facade and garage deck leaks have persisted during periods of heavy rainfall. Engineered Building Inspections, P.C., being recognized as the experts in waterproofing and masonry restoration was called in to assess the water intrusion conditions.
